The papers include correspondence with B.T. Goodby and W.H. Nicholls, both of whom she sent flower specimens; dried flower specimens; jottings; photographs taken on a tour by W.H. Nicholls of the South West of WA in 1946, looking at wild flowers, particularly orchids, in preparation for his book on orchids of Australia; issues of the "Victorian naturalist" containing articles by Edith Coleman (1934), W.H Nicholls on the sun orchid (1945), in tribute to W.H. Nicholls (1951).

Orchid collector. Between 1941 and 1952, when she lived with her husband at the schoolhouse of the Yarloop State School, she was an avid collector of the orchids of the area. She sent specimens of these to William Henry Nicholls, a prominent botanist in Victoria. He was author of "Orchids of Australia" which was published after his death in 1951.
